Jeremy O'Donoghue - Trusted Services Platform (TPS) Committee Chair
Mr. O'Donoghue currently serves as a Principal Engineer / Manager at Qualcomm, working within the Secure Systems Group. He is responsible for architecture and development of software focussed around secure platforms and NFC. In previous roles at Qualcomm, he was the lead security architect and software lead for an NFC CLF development, and has worked extensively on telephony aspects of both Android and Windows-based mobile systems. Mr. O'Donoghue was also an early participant in developing the GSMA NFC Handset Requirements and Testbook.
Mr. O'Donoghue joined the GlobalPlatform Board of Directors in 2016.
Karl Eglof Hartel - Card Committee Chair
Giesecke & Devrient
Mr. Hartel serves as Director for Standards and Innovation in the
secure devices division at Giesecke & Devrient. In this role, Mr.
Hartel represents Giesecke & Devrient in the European
Telecommunications Standards Institute's (ETSI) Smart Card Platform
Technical Working Group and in GSMA Projects. He co-ordinates the
division's technical contributions to these standardization
organizations. Mr. Hartel has played a key role in promoting
GlobalPlatform technology within ETSI and GSMA specifications.
Mr. Hartel has been an active participant in the GlobalPlatform Card
Specifications Working Group and the Mobile Task Force, and was elected
to serve as the association's Card Committee Chair in 2009.
Christophe Colas - Device Committee Chair
Mr. Colas is currently SVP Products at Trustonic. In this role, he
is responsible for managing the overall portfolio of Trustonic products
focused particularly around application protection. Mr. Colas has
participated in the development of several software architectures
including Visa Open Platform Terminal Framework which has since
transferred to GlobalPlatform.
Mr. Colas has been involved with GlobalPlatform since its inception,
and was elected to serve as the association's Device Committee Chair in
2009. He has also served as a GlobalPlatform Board Director since 2015.
Olivier Clemot – Systems Committee Chair
Mr. Clemot currently serves as Vice President Digital Trust
Solutions at Morpho. Within this role he is responsible for proposing
and managing new solutions in the field of online trusted services,
including smart cards, secure elements, lifecycle management solutions
and strong authentication software platforms. Prior to this role, Mr.
Clemot was Vice President of Engineering at Dictao, where he was
responsible for the complete product development cycle.
Mr. Clemot was elected to serve as GlobalPlatform's Systems
Committee Chair in 2015 and Chair of the End-to-End Simplified
Framework for Transport Working Group in 2016.

Sarra Mestiri - Card Security Working Group
Ms. Mestiri graduated with a PHD in automatic control in 1995. She
has been employed by Oberthur Technologies since 1997 and within her
current role she is responsible for overseeing security certification
projects for mobile, ID and banking product lines. Ms. Mestiri
participates in security groups within Eurosmart, ISCI and Jhas and has
served as Chair of GlobalPlatform's Card Security Working Group since
Guillaume Phan - Card Specification Working Group
Mr. Phan is Senior R&D Engineer at Trusted Logic. Since 2000, he has
been deeply involved in a wide range of smart card projects across
areas including banking, telecom, identity, transport and cross-market
near field communications. He also has experience heading up
certification projects, collaborative R&D projects, consulting
activities and contributions to standards (Java Card Forum and
Mr. Phan has participated in the GlobalPlatform Card Specification
Working Group, part of the Card Committee, since 2007 and was
designated as Chair in 2010. He is also active in the growth and
consolidation of the GlobalPlatform Compliance Program and is Vice
Chair of the Card Committee.
Olivier Van Nieuwenhuyze - Multi Secure Element
Working Group Chair
Mr. Van Nieuwenhuyze currently serves as Security System Architect
at STMicroelectronics. Within this role he has software architecture
responsibilities for the NFC ecosystem and secure elements.
He joined STMicroelectronics in 2003 and since 1999 Mr. Van
Nieuwenhuyze has been active in several smart card projects for
banking, transport and near field communication.
Mr. Van Nieuwenhuyze was elected to serve as the Security Task Force
Chair in 2015. He also currently serves as Chair of the Multi SE
Working Group in GlobalPlatform’s Card Committee and Chair of the Root
of Trust Sub-Task Force with the Security Task Force.

Alexander Summerer - Access Control Working Group
Giesecke & Devrient
Mr. Summerer has been working for Giesecke & Devrient since 2008. As
System Architect he was responsible for the implementation and
integration of mobile ID and PKI solutions.
Currently he is working as a technology consultant. In this role, he
drives technology developments for strong authentication solutions and
identity application for mobile platforms. Moreover, Mr. Summerer is an
active contributor in different standardization organizations and is
especially engaged in the standardization of APIs and protocols for
Secure Element based mobile applications in the REE and TEE. He is
currently Chair of the Access Control Working Group and Vice-Chair of
the Identity Task Force in GlobalPlatform.
Stéphanie El Rhomri - Device Compliance Working
Ms. El Rhomri joined FIME in 2007 after more than 10 years working
for an embedded terminal manufacturer as head of technical support. She
is the Vice President, Technology at FIME and is responsible for
developing new services, understanding international technology trends
and ensuring alignment of FIME's near field communication and payments
Ms. El Rhomri joined the GlobalPlatform Board of Directors in 2015
and also serves as Chair of the Device Compliance Working Group.
Laurence Bringer – SC Remote Administration Working
Ms. Bringer is a Standardization Expert in the Standardization and
Technology Department of Gemalto. Her role focuses on standardization
activities related to the various types of secure element. Prior to
this role, Ms. Bringer carried out several positions such as Project
Leader, Card Application Architect and as a Technical Expert in charge
of the development of OTA platforms.
Ms. Bringer has been involved with GlobalPlatform since 2006 and is
an active participant in the GlobalPlatform Device, System and Card
Committees. Ms. Bringer currently serves as Chair of the Remote SC
Admin Working Group.
Philip Hoyer – Secure Component BLE Connector Working Group Chair
Mr. Hoyer is a subject matter expert on security, identity, national
ID, NFC, payment and access control who speaks at major conferences
and has been involved in identity and standardization bodies such as
GlobalPlatform, OASIS, OATH and IETF for over 15 years.
He is Director of Strategic Innovation at HID Global. His main
responsibilities are driving strategic innovation projects,
specifically in mobility security solutions, and the management and
creation of strategic alliances and business unit strategy.
Mr. Hoyer has over 20 years’ experience architecting, building and
delivering IT solutions, much of which was gained working as a
solutions architect for a large consultancy.
Mr. Hoyer is Chair of the GlobalPlatform Identity Task Force and
Chair of the Secure Component BLE Connector Working Group.
Hervé Sibert - TEE Security Working Group Chair
Mr. Sibert is Security Architect at Apple, working on security
features in the space of SE and TEE. Prior to this, he worked on
cryptography and information security in general at Orange, NXP, ST-
Ericsson and then STMicroelectronics, supporting the deployment of TEE
technology since its inception. Mr. Sibert has published 20 academic
papers and is the inventor of more than 30 patents in embedded and
In GlobalPlatform, he is currently Chair of the Device Committee TEE
Security Working Group.
Don Felton - TEE Specifications Working Group
Mr. Felton currently serves as a Principal Security Architect for
Trustonic. He joined Trustonic in 2012, as part of its creation as a
joint venture by ARM, Gemalto and Giesecke & Devrient. Mr. Felton has
driven deployment and understanding of Trusted Execution Environment
(TEE) based security technology since its creation and has been an
active contributor to the Trusted Computing Group Mobile Trusted
Platform Module (TPM) 1.2 developments, Open Mobile Terminal Platform
(OMTP) Advanced Trusted Environment (ATE) standards and GlobalPlatform
Mr. Felton is Chair of the GlobalPlatform TEE Specification Working
Group which is part of the Device Committee.
Hank Chavers - Web APIs Working Group Chair
Mr. Chavers joined GlobalPlatform as Technical Program Manager in
2014. He plays a key strategic role in supporting the technical
committees, Advisory Council and task forces, providing assistance with
meetings and development of white papers/requirements, and furthering
the association’s business development efforts in the United States.
Additionally, Mr. Chavers supports GlobalPlatform’s Technical and
Executive Directors, as well as aiding the development of the
association’s specifications. He plays an active role in improving
industry knowledge of these specifications as a GlobalPlatform
Mr. Chavers has over 20 years of experience in the development,
deployment and convergence of internet and mobile services. In his
previous roles as a near field communication (NFC) specialist, he has
overseen the production of proof-of-concept demonstrations for NFC
enabling wireless technologies, provided technical management for the
first ever implementation featuring two types of payment cards loaded
in one secure element, crafted the market entry strategy for a Fortune
50 telecommunications firm to launch a new NFC service platform and led
the NFC Forum Developer Workgroup and NFC Global Competition. Mr.
Chavers is also the co-author of ‘NFC Reference Guide for Air Travel,’
an IATA and NFC-Forum joint publication and served as Technical Editor
for the book ‘Professional NFC Application Development for Android’.

Germán Blanco - Chair of the End-to-End Simplified
Framework Working Group
Mr. Blanco is part of MasterCard's Digital Convergence team as a
Business Leader. In this role, he is responsible for the implementation
and support of MasterCard's strategy in the mobile provisioning space.
In addition to this role, Mr. Blanco supports standardization
activities as Chairman of the End-to-End Simplified Framework Working
Group in GlobalPlatform.
Mr. Blanco spent his career at the intersection of mobile, payment,
and smart card technologies in the functional areas of product
management and product development. Prior to MasterCard, Mr. Blanco
started his carrier in Gemalto in 2001 where he focused on NFC, payment
and mobile marketing.
Mr. Blanco has been involved with GlobalPlatform since 2006, and was
elected to serve as the End-to-End Simplified Framework Working Group
Chair, part of the Systems Committee, in 2012. Mr. Blanco was also
elected as the Vice Chairman of GlobalPlatform's Mobile Task Force in
Alexandre Martin - TSM Compliance Working Group
Mr. Martin is Practice Manager at Galitt, a consulting and services
provider specializing in payment systems and secure electronic
Mr. Martin has 18 years of experience as a functional, security and
compliance expert in payment systems and smart card technologies.
He spent the last ten years focusing on innovative payment solution
development and standardization, including contactless card
applications, NFC and mobile payment services. In this context, he has
been involved in leading many studies and large projects worldwide.
Mr. Martin joined GlobalPlatform in 2012 and has been acting since
January 2013 as TSM Compliance Working Group Chair, part of the Systems
Committee, to set up a Program in accordance with GP standards for
improving TSM systems interoperability.
Patrice Amiel - TSM Working Group Chair
Mr. Amiel is Principal and Chief Software Architect of the Gemalto
Telecom Business Unit. In this role, he participates in the definition
of the technical and technological strategy for all telecom and near
field communication (NFC) / trusted service manager (TSM) software
products. Mr. Amiel was involved in defining the first over-the-air
(OTA) systems for remote UICC management. Since then, he has worked at
the early stages of the technical definition of administration
platforms for various advanced topics such as device management,
multimedia cards, mobile NFC, TSM and LTE OTA.
Within GlobalPlatform, Mr. Amiel actively participated in the
creation of the 'OTA over HTTP' protocols and has been the Chair of the
