GlobalPlatform Implementation Programs: FNMT-RCM has been involved in a number of smart card-based university programs which aim to provide students and employees with access to various services, such as library loans and photocopying. GlobalPlatform card technology provided the flexibility to allow FNMT-RCM to tailor solutions to different university needs. FNMT-RCM has also deployed GlobalPlatform-based smart cards in digital tachograph schemes used to control the drive and rest time of lorry drivers.
